Dreaming Roses Eco-B&B is your home away from home in the beautiful countryside a short drive from downtown Ithaca, NY. We look forward to hosting you! Sunsets!

Private room or suite, farm fresh breakfast. Book through airbnb, or contact us by phone or email. Sunny private suite accommodates up to four guests. Eco-conscious, solar-powered home. Beautiful, quiet, rural. Trails (walk/run, ski/snowshoe), ponds (swim, skate). Near downtown Ithaca, Cornell, Ithaca College, lakes, waterfalls, parks, wineries... Farm fresh breakfast. Your suite at Dreaming Roses Eco-B&B has two beautiful rooms with ash wood paneling made from trees on our land, cork flooring, lots of natural light, and pastel paintings by your host, Suzy. Enjoy a quiet retreat on our farm, with meadows, woods, and trails right out the door. Your breakfast will be made with mostly local and organic ingredients, including eggs from our hens. It's a short drive to downtown Ithaca, Cornell and Ithaca College campuses, Cayuga Lake, many magnificent waterfalls and gorges, wineries, the famous Ithaca Farmers Market, and all that this wonderful area has to offer.

"Staying at Suzy and Todd's was an exceptional experience all around. I felt right at home in the cozy, perfectly clean, and thoughtfully equipped suite, and the conversations I had with Suzy and Todd added a lot of warmth and authenticity to my stay. And the grounds -- oh my, these are enormous and spectacular to hike, jog, and enjoy the views & the nature. Suzy and Todd do Airbnb the way it once was and should have remained -- not a mere booking service, but a way of sampling new ways of living and finding deeper connection to new places. Hope to be back."

That's exactly the way we aim to host our guests, whether booked through Airbnb or not. As hosts, we also greatly value the opportunities we have to connect with people from around the world and from all walks of life. I would add that, while we may be in the minority among Airbnb hosts these days, we are certainly not alone in having this approach to hosting guests on Airbnb. As we can attest from using Airbnb on our own travels, there are still other true home-sharing hosts out there who are providing this kind of experience. If you use Airbnb, we encourage you to seek them out and enjoy the real benefits of what an Airbnb experience can be.

Early spring is such a magical time! I shot this one minute video at our lower pond (which we affectionately call the Sea of Joy - get the song reference? 🙂), but the wonderful music of the spring peepers is coming from the upper pond (Peeper Pond) a short distance up the hill (turn your sound up high to hear it). Later in the spring season we usually hear peepers in this lower pond as well, and from other wet areas near the house, such as a small creek we call the Stream of Consciousness 🙂. If you or someone you know is visiting the Finger Lakes region this spring, summer, or fall, we would love to be your home away from home, and we recommend booking soon.

Day by day, the slow awakening of spring is happening. When we stepped outside last night, our ears were treated to a lovely chorus of spring peepers coming from our upper pond. Spring is a great time to visit the Ithaca area! We look forward to being a home away from home for travelers coming to the beautiful hills of the Finger Lakes. We are starting to get booked for the season, but we still have plenty of openings.

The snow is melting and the birds are singing of the coming of spring! Yesterday, we saw robins in our upper meadow. Soon, peepers will be peeping, flowers and leaves will be emerging, and summer won’t be far off. Registration is now open for Suzy Rose's much-loved outdoor art and nature program! There will be three one-week sessions (but we may add another session or two if these are filling up and there's still demand). All the details are here:

Our Favorite!
This was our favorite Airbnb that we have stayed at. We stayed overnight on a beautiful Fall weekend. Susan and Todd are excellent hosts. They have found a balance between being kind and available hosts, with also allowing us our privacy. We felt well taken care of and provided for.

We enjoyed talking with them and also admiring their artwork and pottery. The accommodations are extremely clean and we were able to sense how much attention to detail they put into the space. It has a calming energy that was just right for our family.

We also loved being on the property and walking the trails as well as sitting by the pond and observing nature. We hope to be back many times!
