We love using polished nickel hardware from in our restorations.
It patinas beautifully over time and suits our historic apartments perfectly.

PSA: We would never close up an original fireplace.

There is a difference between original
fireplaces and original decorative surrounds.

These gas heaters were outlawed, but the decorative mantles remain. Most of our apartments have the original decorative mantle that used to surround a gas heater.
