It’s hard to imagine it’s been a year since I stood looking across this lake. At this August sunset.

It only took an hour and 20min drive to the airport, 2.5hrs in the air and 4.5hrs drive to the resort.

But it’s a week to be deliberate in family time. Disconnecting from reality for a short while and enjoying peace. Evening sunsets hit different up here. The grass underfoot is soft.

Family matters. Now to enjoy laughter on the porch, memories in the pool and heartfelt conversations over dinner and fire pits.

It’s a disconnect well needed. And family adventure awaits to recharge the body and soul.
