Have you made your fall reservations for The FarmHouse Inn in Nappanee, IN? We’ll be adding our fall decor on the inside while we watch the outside turn Brilliant Autumn Colors! We have rooms open for the 50th Apple Festival, ND games and getaway weekends. In the mean time we have added a few more amenities (like a TV), plus a kitchen when you rent the whole house!

While our 1840 Amish built FarmHouse was originally created for a simple life…. we do have running water, electric, heating and air-conditioning (second floor rooms have individually control) and bathroom in each room, so you don’t have to go outside! Good Evening Tea Friends. In a previous post I shared that I had a knee injury and needed to temporarily close the Tea House within our bed-and-breakfast. I just wanted to update you all here at this time.

The first four weeks, I tried taking it easy, resting, icing, etc. Then I scheduled an appointment with the doctor. At my first visit he offered me a Cortisone shot or taking a prescription. I chose the prescription route. He said now I want to see you again in two weeks but if you have improved, you can cancel the appointment. Today was the two week appointment and I told him that not much has changed. So then he offered a Cortisone shot or MRI. Because we currently do not have insurance and more of a share program, I talked through the next steps with him and chose the Cortisone shot. I told him I don’t like needles and get queasy from such occasions. He did great and so did I!

I’m hoping to finally be on the mend. With that being said….. We need your business. Our next offering of traditional tea parties will be September 10, 11th and 12th. These will be $25 a person, groups of four or more preferred, reservations required. We posted our menu and a previous post for these three days of tea parties. Gather your friends and plan a day in Nappanee!

We hosted this wonderful couple for 2 nights before hauling their new unit from Showalter RV back home! They shared with us their excitement to work with Showalter in finding their perfect unit. A great experience all around!

We apologize for any and all weeds you would have seen this week/weekend when visiting our Quilt Garden! It didn’t not look good and we are okay with admitting it! But… no worries….
