CountrySide Inn

🍎 There’s a lot happening around Nappanee this weekend! 🚜🏈

We’re excited to welcome so many visitors to Countryside Inn… from our Notre Dame game-goers 🏈 to guests here for the tractor show and tractor pulls 🚜 and all of the Massey Ferguson enthusiasts in town! ❤️

And while we’re getting ready for a busy weekend, we had to show off this adorable chalkboard our very own Inez Landis made for the 50th Nappanee Apple Festival! 🍎 She did such a wonderful job, we thought it deserved a spot in the lobby for everyone to enjoy🥰

We love this time of year when our little town gets busy and we get to welcome folks from near and far. If you’re staying with us this weekend, welcome to Nappanee and welcome to Countryside Inn… we’re so happy you’re here! ❤️

Meet “Preacher”… the man responsible for the fresh-baked cookies at Countryside Inn. 🍪❤️

After repeatedly reminding us that “this hotel and that hotel” had cookies waiting for their guests, we finally took the hint. 😂

So Inez baked, Gertie supervised, and Preacher happily handled quality control… We are so blessed with the best guests 🥰

Hospitality isn’t always just clean rooms and a place to sleep…

I just love this little corner 🥰 and I’m so thankful for a team that pours so much heart into making our guests feel welcome, one thoughtful detail at a time❤️… We can’t wait to welcome you!

Shared by one of our guests…

“It’s just so beautiful, cheerful and homey. You got the vibe perfect! ♥️”

Reading messages like this means more than you know. We spend a lot of time focusing on clean rooms, fresh coffee, flowers, breakfast, and all the little details that make a stay comfortable.

Sometimes we wonder if anyone notices….

Then a guest sends us a note like this. 🥹❤️

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your travels.

So Miss Gertie🪿 has been learning some Pennsylvania Dutch phrases 😊
today’s phrase…

“Machet eich Selvot Daheim”

Translation:

🏡 “Make yourselves at home!”

Which is basically Gertie’s official hospitality policy.

Need coffee? Help yourself.
Need a comfy place to rest? We’ve got you.
Need someone to tell you where the best pie in town is? Just ask. 😏

We’re glad you’re here and hope Countryside Inn feels a little like home while you’re away from yours. ❤️

🪿 Love,
Gertie

❤️ community update ❤️

If you or someone you know is still without power after last night’s storms, we wanted to let you know that we currently have rooms available and power here at Countryside Inn. ❤️

We know many families throughout our community are dealing with downed trees, power outages, and storm cleanup today. If you need a safe, comfortable place to stay, a hot shower, air conditioning, or simply a place to rest while power is being restored, we’re here for you.

Please feel free to call the front desk anytime at (574) 773-5999.

Stay safe, and we’re keeping everyone affected by the storms in our thoughts today. ❤️

🪿 Meet Gertie the Desk Goose! ❤️

Gertie was a gift from our sweet Inez, and she has already settled into life at the front desk. So far, she's been supervising check-ins and making sure everyone is behaving themselves. 😏

We have a feeling y’all will be seeing a lot more of Gertie around here. She may pop up in future posts, help with important announcements, and occasionally offer her expert hospitality advice... 🤓🪿

Be sure to say hello to Gertie the next time you stop by the Countryside Inn! She will be in the front desk window... of course only when she's not out waddling around supervising. 🧐😅🥰

We truly have the best staff, the best guests, and the best community. ❤️

Goodness ☺️…. Some of our favorite days of the year are when the Gonzaga Rugby family comes back to Countryside Inn ❤️

Tonight the Eagles won their first match, and the lobby ended with guitars, singing, laughter, late-night conversations, and the kind of memories that remind us why we love hospitality so much 🥰

These boys, parents, coaches, and staff are simply some of the best, and it has been such a joy having them back with us again this year!

Thank you, Gonzaga Rugby, for letting us be a small part of your week once again. We’re cheering you on all weekend long!

GO EAGLES!! 💜🏉
