Things to do (less than 30 minutes away)
Heading north on HWY 101 from the motel:
first you will come to the turn off for Nehalem Bay State Park.

Then you'll find the town of Manzanita where there are shops; restaurants (In this town There's beach accessbeach).

Short Sand Beach trailhead
Oswald West State Park
Cape Falcon Trailhead

Beach access:

Headed south on HWY 101 from the motel:
first you will come to downtown Nehalem where there are shops; restaurants (they'll be signs pointing you to food carts; where you can eat on the banks of the river) and even a pinball arcade.

Next you'll come to the turn off for Tillamook County Boat Launch.

Then you will come to turn off for HWY 53.
HWY 53: first will come to the motor co-op store inside the store is also Big Shaun's Smashburgers.

Next you come to the town of Wheeler where you will find a bakery, restaurant, shops, fish Smokehouse and a boat launch.
Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad station (check their website for more details as to when they pick up or drop off here) Wheeler Marina, (Tackle, fishing license, boat slipsrent. Rent by the hour touring kayaks, touring tandem kayaks ,canoes,Stand Up Paddle Board and boats)

Then Rockaway Beach (In this town There's beach accessbeach) there you will find a bakery, restaurant, shops, restaurant, food carts and mini golf

This Saturday is the start of the Spring whale watching event. Thousands of gray whales migrate north with their new calves. A list of good viewing areas are in the poster, or you can go try out a charter boat in Depoe Bay for a better chance of getting up close.

Valentine's getaway for two in Nehalem Oregon!
In this cozy cabin's bedroom is a queen size mattress. The living room has a reclining loveseat; a marble topped dinette table for two; Roku Smart TV, with basic cable and a DVD player. cabin also has a fully equipped kitchen including dishes.

In the office we have some DVDs you can take a few back to you cabin! Pop some popcorn in the microwave! Open your favorite beverage and sit back and relax for the evening!
