Ouray's full event schedule for July 3rd and 4th!
Monday, July 3
Ouray Volunteer Fire Department Fourth-of-July Kickoff Concert, 5:00 – 11:00 PM, Fellin Park
Family (and dog) friendly concert in Fellin Park to benefit the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department. Local favorites Bad Friend from Ridgway will keep you dancing from 8-10:00 pm! This annual concert is the BEST event in Ouray to kick off the Fourth of July and meet up with all of your friends and family who are home for the holiday! $5 entry. Food, sodas, beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available (for the adults…that is!).
Ouray County Players Annual Melodrama: Gunfight at High Noon or Dancin' the Six Shooter Two Step, a play by Landon B. Phillips, 7:00 PM, Wright Opera House.
The time for summer hilarity is upon us! Dartmouth Defraud comes in to town claiming to be the silent partner of the recently murdered bank owner, Colonel Fondue. Defraud's land-grab plan gets side-tracked when Fondue's niece and heir, Rosemary, arrives. Deputy Drawdown gets side-tracked by Rosemary's charm and beauty..."are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Join us Mondays in July for the annual Wright Melodrama!
Tuesday, July 4
Ouray Emergency Services Team Pancacke Breakfast, 6:30 AM, Ouray Community Center
Get a solid start to your big day with the generous portions at this annual breakfast. All proceeds support Ouray EMS.
34th Annual OURAYCE 10K Race for KURA 98.9, 8:00 AM
Registration from 7-8 am. Race begins at 8 am at City Hall. The traditional Ouray Fourth of July 10K Race at 8,ooo feet! A benefit for our community radio station that follows a scenic loop course from City Hall into the hills and back through beautiful Ouray. Entry fee is $40.00.
Fourth of July Main Street Parade, 10:00 AM, Main Street
If you have a float or a party group that wants to participate, line up along 4th Street starting at 9 am. Or grab a great spot on Main Street for the show. This parade WILL have heavy doses of water, as usual. However, in an effort to help those who wish to stay dry, the East Side of Main (i.e., the side with Duckett's, Ouray Brewery, Khristopher's Culinaire, etc.) will be dry.
Free Kids Games, 11:00 AM, Fellin Park
Enjoy sack races, egg tosses and other old-timey events with your whole family. All events provided by the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department. Vendors will be set up in the park for refreshments.

Step back in time and get some refreshments at the Museum.
Ouray Volunteer Fire Department Water Fights, 2:00 PM, Main St. & 6th Avenue
The annual showstopping event. Watch as teams of two battle it out with full pressure fire hoses of freezing water. Watch out for the water and stray hoses!
Jeep "Glow" Parade, Dusk, Pull Out below Amphitheater Turn-Off, Highway 550
Line up at the pull out on the west side of Highway 550 below the Amphitheater Turn-Off at 8:30 PM (look for the Ouray Raffle Jeep to know you're in the right spot). Decorate your Jeep with twinkle lights and glow sticks (some glow stick packets available for a donation to the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department). Parade starts down the hill and through Ouray at dusk.
Fourth of July Fireworks Display, Dark, Ouray
Watch as the fireworks light up the night sky and listen to the unique sound of the booms echoing past you down the canyon. Our favorite spot to watch is Fellin Park but you can't really go wrong anywhere in town. Provided by the Ouray Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Ouray and Ouray Jeep Raffle.
