🦋 A new space is taking flight at Pisgah Forest RV Park 🌼
What started last year as a simple wildflower garden has transformed into something even more special — our very own butterfly garden & future Monarch Waystation.
After a guest suggested the idea, we realized this little corner of the park could become more than colorful landscaping… it could become a resting and recharging space for migrating butterflies. 🦋 After all, our park is designed to be a place where RVers can pause, rest, and recharge during their travels… so why not create the same kind of refuge for migrating butterflies?
Shelly poured her heart into this project, carefully researching the best native milkweeds, nectar plants, and butterfly-friendly features for our area. She even created a winding stone pathway leading into the heart of the garden. And it turned out AMAZING! 🤩
We’re excited to watch this space grow, bloom, and welcome beautiful new visitors throughout the season.
During your next stay, be sure to wander through the garden and keep an eye out for butterflies along the way. 🌸
And if you are interested in the details, a plant guide is available in the Welcome Center explaining the plants and purpose behind the garden — and our next step is applying to become an official Monarch Waystation!
🦋 Keep an eye out for our June newsletter to read the full story of the transformation of this space.
