A guest really did stop by the office to report a possible Sasquatch encounter, complete with photographs of some very unusual footprints.

As for what made them... your guess is as good as ours.

Olympic Interagency Fire Managers have declared the start of fire season due to hot and dry weather conditions. In the last three weeks, firefighter crews have extinguished several small fires that spread from abandoned campfires.

How to Read a Tide Chart 🐚🪼

Planning a beach day in the Pacific Northwest?

This simple chart shows when to go: 👇

• The lowest dip on the chart = low tide (best time to explore tide pools) 🐚
• The highest peak = high tide (water is much farther up the shore) 🌊
• Follow the curve down to see when the tide is going out
• Follow it up to see when the tide is coming back in

For tide pooling, go around the lowest point and give yourself time before it starts rising again.

⭐️ For tide pooling, aim for tides under 1.0 ft. Lower is better.

Looking for some local springtime fun?

Looking for something fun to do with the family over spring break? Go on an adventure around town for a chance to win some cool prizes! Starting this Thursday, March 26 come pick up or print off a scavenger hunt.

Once you have your map and clues, follow them around town to find different statues and artwork. Draw what you find, write down the answers and once your form is completed, bring it back to Feiro by 4pm on Thursday, April 2. Your name will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win PRIZES! Winners will be announced on Friday, April 3.
