Sampson State Park New York State Park in the Finger Lakes Region Sampson has 245 electric campsites and 10 lakeside cottages.

Encompassing just over 2000 acres on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake, Sampson State Park features camping and boating as the primary recreational activities. The marina has just over 100 boat slips and a large multiple launch site. A key feature of the park is the beautiful view of the lake at its center, and the most picturesque sunsets in the Finger Lakes Region. Activities include tennis, horseshoes, basketball and volleyball, a sandy beach with guarded swimming, playgrounds, and a scenic lake trail. Other popular activities include fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, local golf, geocaching, and wildlife viewing and photography. Picnic shelters are available and may be reserved for events.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! In about a week, a lunar occultation of Jupiter will be visible across the eastern half of the United States. For a limited time, the Moon will pass in front of naked-eye visible Jupiter, making it disappear. Many folks in the eastern U.S. will then get to witness Jupiter reappear from behind the Moon. This will set the stage for some really cool views and shots, particularly for those with a zoom lens, binoculars, telescope, etc.

We'll talk more details as we get closer to the morning of October 6!

We wish we had some better news...Unfortunately there is not much of an update. Still No power in loops 2,4 and 5. Loop 1 and 3 have power at this time. Our teams are working hard to complete the repair but it is a slow process.
