Subject Line: Sampson State Park - Important Information About Your Upcoming Stay

Dear Camper,
Please be advised that Sampson State Park is currently without power. Facilities will be limited; campground restrooms will not have hot water; however, the generator quiet hours will be waived during this time if you wish to bring a generator.
While the estimated restoration time is expected later this week, we cannot make any guarantees by the time of your arrival. We are offering the following options regarding your affected reservation:
• Transfer your reservation to a future date and the $7.25 transaction fee will be waived.
• Transfer your reservation to a different facility and the $7.25 transaction fee will be waived.
• Cancel your reservation for a full refund.
To ensure your fees are waived on these transaction options, we ask that you please take action by contacting Reserve America Customer Service at 1-800-777-9644 prior to your arrival.
• If you choose to keep your reservation, you will receive a refund for the $7/night electric fee.

Power update
We are still without power we have teams out trying to fix a transformer that blew on Saturday
We have suspended calling incoming reservations and had Reserve America email all incoming reservations (incoming for Tuesday-Thursday). PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL
We have generators running at the office so the phones are operational during business hours. Please feel free to call the park office at 315-585-6392 with any questions.
Wish we had better news will continue to update with any new information
For those still wishing to come in please be aware for the following
We have waived the generator hours so yes you can run one this also means that there will be generators running all night and it may be loud
There is no hot water in the restrooms
Thank you for your understanding as we work to resolve these issues

Power is still out here at Sampson early estimates suggest Wednesday or Thursday for power restoration. We are trying to call all incoming reservations but progress is slow
For campers who still wish to come in we will be refunding the $7 per night electric fee and full refunds for anyone who wishes to cancel
As we get more information we will post here
