The latest Hostfully Hosting & Travel Index suggests we may be nearing the bottom of seasonal travel demand.

June's Getaway Score climbed from 44 to 49, with five of seven key travel indicators moving in the right direction. Search demand is rising, gas prices are easing, and weather forecasts are becoming more favorable for many vacation destinations. What's surprising is that consumer sentiment just hit a new record low. Travelers say they're worried about the economy and rising costs. Yet they're still booking trips. Memorial Day travel reached record levels, and booking activity remained resilient.

We're entering a market where traveler confidence and traveler behavior aren't telling the same story.
