These carpentry planes, featured at Hotel Theodore through our partnership with Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), were used by nineteenth-century Seattle craftsmen to shave and shape wood. Most carpenters made their own tools and carried a set of planes tailored for different cuts and needs.
