Jim is napping, the dogs are off getting their annual grooming (they'd rather go to the vet), the house is quiet and I wandered outside to take some pictures. After 25 years this place is full of memories. I've lived here longer than anywhere else in my 60 years, by a lot.
Fiona, the mini donkey, is our newest resident. She's been here about 18 months now and this morning was the first time that she walked up to the fence to see me! Leaned into a big ear rub and couldn't get enough. For a donkey that wouldn't come closer than about 10 feet this is huge! The grape hyacinth bulbs I planted almost 25 years ago somehow left the flower bed quite a while ago and flourish several feet away.
Guests who came before 2013 never saw horses (just chickens, and Fred the rooster!) but horses became a big part of our lives and the inn with the arrival of Tommy and Inspector Morse. Keep following the page for more adventures. And check out the link in the comment, please.
