I know a couple of boys that are going to be very sad that school is soon starting. Cousin Maxwell and Great Nephew Quinn have been having a blast fishing some monster small and large mouth bass this season. No worries, they left them for you. Always catch & release. If you are looking for one last get-away before the school grind, we have an opening labor day week-end in Holiday House & Sunnyside. Give us a call. Our regulars had to take their "No Longer Littles" off to college.

Since 1985 we have welcomed 5 different generations of the Larson family. Two new babies this year enjoyed their first year of Crystal Lake magic. Thanks for sharing the great family picture. See you next year!

Looney News...We have an empty nest. Our Crystal Lake pair only sat on the nest one time last week when we first relaunched the loon raft. It doesn't appear that we will have a second brood this year. So the nest will be put back into storage for the season. We thank Jon and Tom for their efforts to quickly get it back into the water to give our pair a chance if they so desired to try for a second brood. We will have to be content and thankful we have a healthy adult pair to watch and listen to this season.

Looney news…we have sad news to report. This years chick has not been seen for two days. The last sighting was just before there were two very aggressive eagles diving near the loons. The parents would not leave the chick this long unless it was gone. So in hopes of them nesting again and laying a subsequent brood, we have launched the nest. It didn’t take long, within the hour they were up on the nest. Stay tuned…

Looney News...Our lone chick is happy and healthy getting the full attention of both Mom and Dad and not having to share the grub with a sib this year. Thanks Jon for catching these wonderful pics.
