Hippo Boutique Hotel Welcome to a hip and laid-back establishment which deserves its reputation for style, comfort and appeal. Look out for it behind the cherry-wood sliding doors.

Hippo has twenty spacious standard rooms and five designer executive suites (double volume lofts with bedroom / bathroom on a mezzanine level). The rooms are en-suite, air-conditioned and come equipped with king size beds covered in fine cotton linen (two single beds also an option should you wish to share a room but not the bed!). The stainless steel kitchenettes (equipped with microwave and filter-coffee plunger), come in very handy for that late-night snack or early-morning coffee. Being a four-star graded hotel, there is of course no need to assure you of all the standard items one can expect (from electronic safe to hairdryer, to the hip-branded umbrellas) - but definitely the complimentary high speed internet access is worth a mention! Yes, all the rooms are equipped with both ADSL and wireless internet access, but also featuring the option of iPod, CD and DVD facilities. All of this will keep you connected at no extra charge.

Asanda and Kashiefah were out representing Hippo Boutique Hotel at the Powerful PA’s Vendor Event, connecting, chatting and sharing a little more about Hippo with everyone who stopped by.

It was a wonderful opportunity to meet new faces, enjoy great conversations and proudly represent our little corner of Cape Town.

A big thank you to everyone who came over to say hello and spent some time with the Hippo team. We loved meeting you!

One final presentation, one warm German welcome and one very special new friend!

Matt wrapped up his European roadshow at Boomerang Reisen, sharing the Hippo Boutique Hotel story, building exciting new connections and, naturally, keeping an eye on Hester near the pastries.

The biggest surprise? Boomie the Boomerang mascot is coming home to Cape Town to meet Hester!

From Torino to Geneva, the journey continues.

Our GM, Matt, is still on the road with taking Hippo Boutique Hotel beyond borders and connecting with travel professionals across Europe.

This leg brought more conversations, familiar faces and new connections, with visits to L’Ère du Voyage, Safaris à la Carte and time spent with Floriane from Au Tigre Vanillé, who already supports Hippo Boutique Hotel.

And between the meetings? A few beautiful views, plenty of laughs and, naturally, a growing collection of Hippo friends along the way.
