Once upon a time, there was a hotel that had an idea: let the smallest guests design the room.

So they did. 🦁

Our Kids' Safari Room was shaped, tested and approved by little explorers. Bunk beds. A secret door to Mom and Dad. A third room for grandparents, if the whole tribe is coming. 🗝️

Move for something that matters. 🤍

This September, we’re welcoming HABITS to Cape Grace for a morning of movement, good company and a very good cause.

Join Hannah for a 45-minute Pilates and sculpt-inspired class, followed by time to connect over freshly squeezed juices, coffee and snacks.

The morning is in support of Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish International ), with proceeds from every ticket going towards helping grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Queen Victoria’s wedding cake weighed around 136 kg. It stood three tiers high and stretched almost 3 metres across. White icing, sugar figures of Britannia and the royal couple, orange blossom and myrtle. It’s basically why we all picture a grand white wedding cake when we think of one at all.

What we’re borrowing from her isn’t the excess. It’s the patience and the commitment to beauty. The idea that decorating a cake is worth slowing down for, a little icing, a steady hand, an afternoon with nothing else on the calendar.

That’s the mood for our next Beau-Tea, on Friday, 2 October, hosted with BBCAKES CPT | On-trend Retro and Lunchbox Cakes, the Cape Town studio known for its playful take on retro and lunchbox cakes.

The afternoon starts with a welcome drink in the Library. Then afternoon tea. Then, with the BB Cakes team on hand to help and inspire, you get your hands into the icing and decorate a cake of your own. Your own flourishes, your own piping, your own personality, boxed up to take home at the end.

Part afternoon tea, part creative workshop, and really just a good excuse to spend a few hours making something beautiful in good company.
