ESKOM POWER OUTAGE UPDATE

1. The Elim farms area and Protem farming areas remain without electricity supply. Eskom teams are still busy with restoration work, however severe weather conditions and strong winds are making repair work difficult and dangerous.
2. Struisbaai, L’Agulhas and Suiderstrand remain without electricity supply. Eskom poles are currently lying on the ground opposite Andrews Field. Eskom expects replacement poles to arrive from Brackenfell tomorrow. Repair work will commence as soon as all required equipment is on site. The area is currently very wet and muddy, making access difficult.
3. Electricity supply has been restored to Napier, Arniston and Bredasdorp. Residents are requested to contact the standby number for household electricity faults. Streetlight complaints can be reported to the municipal offices tomorrow.

ESKOM KRAGONDERBREKING OPDATERING

1. Die Elim-plaasgebiede en Protem-plaasgebiede is steeds sonder elektrisiteit. Eskom-spanne is steeds besig met herstelwerk, maar weens die weerstoestande en sterk wind is herstelwerk moeilik en gevaarlik.
2. Struisbaai, L’Agulhas en Suiderstrand is steeds sonder elektrisiteit. Eskom-pale lê tans op die grond oorkant Andrews Field. Eskom verwag môre vervangingspale vanaf Brackenfell. Herstelwerk sal begin sodra al die nodige toerusting op die terrein is. Die terrein is tans baie nat en modderig, wat toegang bemoeilik.
3. Elektrisiteit is herstel na Napier, Arniston en Bredasdorp. Inwoners word versoek om die bystandnommer te skakel vir huishoudelike kragprobleme. Straatlig-klagtes kan môre by die munisipale kantore aangemeld word.
Die volgende opdatering sal môre om 09:00 gekommunikeer word.
