During the tour, we were delighted to discover two families captured together in one beautiful frame — a perfect moment of shared adventure and connection. Churchill Summer tour season has officially started! Our lucky couple from Germany had an amazing day out with Angela — beautiful weather, great wildlife, and unforgettable moments in Churchill. — they spotted two bear families and even watched a young “singer bear” catching a goose up close. Churchill never disappoints.

This is a critical moment for the polar bears of Churchill. After months on land, they’ve been waiting for the sea ice to form so they can head out to hunt seals — their main source of food. The freeze-up marks the start of their hunting season, giving them the chance to rebuild strength and fat reserves that will carry them through the summer months when the ice melts again.
Wishing all the bears good luck as they return to the ice. May they eat well, stay strong, and come back healthy when they return to shore in July 2026.

It was disappointing to learn that the train was cancelled again last night due to track issues, forcing our Portugal group to detour to The Pas. We faced a similar situation just last week with our Austria group. Fortunately, I was able to secure 14 flight tickets from Thompson to Churchill to keep their itinerary on track.

Once a problem bear gets the chance to be relocated far from town, it can return to a more natural life. The hope is that it learns not to come back looking for food—otherwise, it may face a longer stay in the holding facility.
