With an upstairs bathroom with bath tub, downstairs shower room, fully fitted well equipped dining kitchen and living room with log burning stove, Acorn Cottage feels like a home from home. Outside you have a secluded private garden with seating and BBQ and off street parking for 2 cars with EV charging point. With Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam (plague village) and several National Trust properties all a short drive away you can immerse yourself in a variety of history during your stay at Acorn Cottage. If walking is your perfect holiday, there are plenty of lovely country walks from the door or Ashover village (1 mile away). The Peak District is a short drive away with picturesque scenery and walks ranging from surfaced tracks to rugged hill paths, the choice is yours! Family days out include Heights of Abraham, Matlock Farm Park, Crich Tramway Village and so much more. Why not include a tour of our smallholding with the chance to feed the animals and meet Pumpkin and Barney our beautiful donkeys and our cheeky goats? The Kelstedge Inn is just 1/2 mile away with good food and draft beer. With 3 more pubs in Ashover village just a mile away you’ll be spoilt for choice. We welcome 2 well behaved dogs and provide throws for those who like to share the sofa, but please be aware that dogs are not allowed upstairs and must not be left alone in the cottage at any time. This lovely dog friendly cottage in the hamlet of Brockhurst, just 1 mile from Ashover, sleeps 4 in a double and twin. Pub and cafe justv15 minute walk away!

With an upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room, lounge with log burner and garden room there's plenty of space for families or friends meeting (we're pretty much in the middle of the country).
