Plenty of legendary people frequented here in the past including Oliver Cromwell, William Wordsworth, and Robert Burns. Named after a rare highland creature, our pub offers fine ale and world-renowned whiskies. Enjoy award-winning haggis and champion ales in an intimate setting and why not bring along your furry friends as we're dog-friendly. We were voted Edinburgh's Most Haunted Pub in 2005, but don’t let that scare you off. This family-friendly pub is a real Grassmarket gem, with a cozy setting and a great beer garden. We have free WiFi too so you can stay connected with the outside world during your visit.
