What a brilliant afternoon yesterday 🍻🎶

We hope everyone who joined us for Hoodle had a great time. Good music, plenty of familiar faces and a lovely atmosphere — exactly how a Saturday should be.

And the Bank Holiday weekend isn’t finished yet…

We’ll be OPEN tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday 31st August, with food and drinks from 4pm 🍽️🍺

So if you’re making the most of the long weekend, pop in, grab a table and let us do the cooking.

Saturday 29th August 2.30pm

There are some afternoons you don’t really need to plan too much.

A few tables filling up. The sound of glasses behind the bar. Friends arriving one by one, and somewhere amongst it all, the first guitar starts up.

The Hoodle returns this Saturday from 2.30pm.

Last time, we brought everyone inside and it turned into one of those afternoons that just seemed to find its own rhythm. So that’s exactly what we’re doing again.

There’ll be food coming from the kitchen, drinks across the bar and live music carrying through the pub as the afternoon rolls on.

No tickets. No big production. Just a Saturday afternoon, a pub full of people and some great music.

🎶 SUNDAY SESSIONS 🎶

We’ve got a cracking Sunday lined up with Rue playing live from 5pm! ☀️🍻

Rue is a South West singer-songwriter bringing a mix of alternative soul, jazz, R&B and pop, with both original music and her own soulful takes on some favourites.

She’s previously appeared at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, The Great Escape and Boardmasters, as well as supporting Gabrielle and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. 🎤

Something a little different at The Rising Sun this Sunday… 🎶

We love our Sunday live music, but today we’re doing things a little differently.

Boudica Rock will be joining us for two performances at 4pm & 6pm, bringing traditional Cornish music and dance to the pub.

Expect plenty of energy, Cornish tradition and a great atmosphere — something you might not normally see on a Sunday afternoon at The Rising Sun.

Grab a drink, bring the family and come and see what it’s all about.

This Sunday from 4pm, we're delighted to welcome Jack of All Trades to The Rising Sun Inn.
Expect an afternoon of laid-back acoustic favourites, sing-alongs and the perfect soundtrack to a summer Sunday on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

Whether you're joining us for food, drinks or simply the music, we'd love to see you.

A little update from us at The Rising Sun Inn 🍻

For the foreseeable future, the pub and kitchen will be closed on Mondays while we make a few adjustments behind the scenes and focus on delivering the best experience possible throughout the rest of the week.

Our rooms and campsite will remain open as normal on Mondays, and guests staying with us will still be able to check in and enjoy everything Bodmin Moor has to offer.

We'll continue to be open as usual from Tuesday to Sunday for food, drinks, and hospitality, and we look forward to welcoming you all over the summer months ahead.
