HAVE A ROAR-SOME DAY OUT IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!
GUIDED DINO HUNT WALK - SCARBOROUGH ROTUNDA MUSEUM - TUES 28TH JULY AND TUES 18TH AUGUST
Join palaeontologist Fossiliam (Dr Liam Herringshaw) on a guided walk from the Rotunda Museum to the Jurassic rocks of South Cliff, highlighting dinosaur footprints left behind over 160 million years ago. These remarkable traces, preserved in the rocks, show that dinosaurs once walked where Scarborough stands today.
The South Cliff Dino Hunt, a brand-new dinosaur trail is designed to help families explore some of Scarborough’s most remarkable and often overlooked prehistoric evidence. The Dino Hunt is part of a children’s activity bag, available to purchase from the Rotunda Museum.
Once you’ve finished the walk head to the Rotunda and join in the hands-on sessions with our expert geologists, The Rotunda Geology Group and find out about dinosaur footprints and ancient fossils.
The walk is approximately 1 mile, follows established footpaths, and is suitable for families.
This is a special Annual Pass holders event (pass required to participate these can be purchased on the day.)
Tickets limited, please book online.
£14 for adults, £7 for children – includes activity bag.
*The Dino Hunt is a self-led walk and can be purchased with the activity bag directly from the Rotunda*
