A brilliant volunteer weekend at the site! We got loads done. We managed to mow all of the camping areas, strim around the buildings and areas the mower can't access, cleaned and serviced the toilets, tagged 200+ trees for our tree survey, installed new fencing around toilet block two and the square house, we cut back brambles on the track into the site to improve visibility when leaving, we cleared some fallen trees and took down a couple of dangerous leaning trees, we have also prepped toilet block 2 ready for concreting this week! Thanks all that helped!

Great to have Fforestfach Scout Group - 42nd Swansea onsite last night for their group campfire, nice to hear the favourite memories of the young people in Scouting

June volunteer day, solar up on the toilet block, solar charger, battery and distribution board installed, lights in all cubicles, urinals and hand washing areas as well as on the exterior, a few finishing touches but all in place and working ready for campers!

Sketty explorers visited the site last week, they enjoyed archery and helped with some site jobs, pulling up some rhododendron and moving some gravel! Thanks for the help!

Toilet block one, concrete has now been poured around the building, fencing added and groundworks completed! Just lights and water storage tank to be added!

A busy weekend at the site! We removed rubble the was onsite from an old collapsed building, dug out some stumps, levelled and harrowed those areas, we rebuilt the bank ok then at park, took delivery of sand and road planings, we also put up part of the fencing around the rear of the toilet block to keep vehicles from driving too close to the new building!

May volunteer day, fallen trees cut up, compost bins sited, signage installed on the toilets and some pipe work adjusted!

Compost toilets ready to go! Killay Scout group camp this weekend giving them a whirl! A few small bits to finish off and then we'll be ready to concrete the floor around them! What a brilliant job complete by ReWorkShop Wales!

In an effort to ensure the safety of those who use the site, we are digitising our tree surveys, all trees around camping areas and activity sites are being tagged and records are being kept on a database of which trees are going to require attention. As you can imagine this is quite a big job on such a big site, so we could really use some help, if you think you could help us manage the trees then please get in touch! This is not a physically demanding task and perfect for someone who enjoys wondering around on the woodland!
