June volunteer day, solar up on the toilet block, solar charger, battery and distribution board installed, lights in all cubicles, urinals and hand washing areas as well as on the exterior, a few finishing touches but all in place and working ready for campers!

A busy weekend at the site! We removed rubble the was onsite from an old collapsed building, dug out some stumps, levelled and harrowed those areas, we rebuilt the bank ok then at park, took delivery of sand and road planings, we also put up part of the fencing around the rear of the toilet block to keep vehicles from driving too close to the new building!

In an effort to ensure the safety of those who use the site, we are digitising our tree surveys, all trees around camping areas and activity sites are being tagged and records are being kept on a database of which trees are going to require attention. As you can imagine this is quite a big job on such a big site, so we could really use some help, if you think you could help us manage the trees then please get in touch! This is not a physically demanding task and perfect for someone who enjoys wondering around on the woodland!

The original compost loos were built for drum camp Wales in 2017 by the event organisers, for the event. They served us well for nearly 10 years but in the last year they've really deteriorated and become unsafe and dangerous. We've safely dismantled them and left the compost bins to breakdown for a few years. Our new toilets are nearing completion... Watch this space!
