That’s why we’re rethinking how it’s sourced, served, and shared—so every bite brings joy without costing the planet.

From using AI-powered tracking systems to reduce food waste in real time, to running natural composting and recycling programs, we’re finding new ways to give leftovers a second life — nourishing plants, animals, or even creating energy.

In Mainland China, our hotels proudly support the Clean Your Plate campaign, encouraging guests to avoid buffet waste, while Shangri-La Tangshan extends this initiative to staff canteens to nurture a culture of sustainability. Meanwhile, in Singapore, our pastry team has been donating unsold baked goods to underprivileged communities for over 15 years through .
