Last winter, Artyzen Hospitality Group launched its charity initiative “Artyzen Sweet Wishes” in partnership with the Shanghai Make-A-Wish Foundation, spanning our properties in Beijing, Shanghai, Macau, Zhuhai, Suzhou, and Singapore. Each seasonal dessert created carried a quiet purpose, to turn small acts of generosity into something meaningful. Through the collective support of our guests, we were honoured to fulfil a wish for a remarkable young boy.
For him, the Forbidden City had long been a place of fascination. When physical limitations made travel difficult, he explored its history through screens, immersing himself in its architecture, stories, and enduring legacy.
With the support of the Shanghai Make-A-Wish Foundation, we curated a personalised “Journey Through Time” to bring this dream to reality. We were privileged to welcome this special guest, an 11-year-old boy living with progressive muscular dystrophy, to Artyzen Habitat Dongzhimen Beijing.
During his visit, he experienced the Forbidden City firsthand. Walking through its grand halls and listening as 600 years of history unfolded before him. In a quiet moment at the Imperial Garden, he reached out to touch the Xiezhi, the mythical guardian, connecting with the space in a way that went beyond words.
From “one sweet treat at a time” to a shared commitment to spreading hope, this initiative reflects our Artyzen 3C philosophy—Connect, Care, and Celebrate. We are deeply grateful to every guest who contributed. It is your generosity that made this journey possible.
