We’re really sad to share this…
The Lodge Camp Bay will be closed for the months of May and June 💔
There are two main reasons behind this difficult decision:
1. Unprecedented cancellations through May and June and a catastrophic drop in bookings since the outbreak of the War in the Persian Gulf. Consequently in May and June, we have only one room booked per week, and new bookings have now completely stopped.
2. Ongoing construction near the lodge, which resumed without notice.
The construction next door — which we were told would be completed back in February — is still continuing, bringing noise that we simply haven’t been able to control, despite trying our best.
On top of that, development on the hill behind the lodge has caused runoff issues when it rains, with mud flowing down and impacting the surrounding environment and polluting the ocean.
We’ve always wanted The Lodge to be a peaceful, quiet beach escape that many guests can enjoy — and recently due to circumstances out of our control that is no longer the case.
As a result, the few guests with existing bookings in May or June will be refunded in full.
This has not been an easy decision. All Island Hotels are in crisis, we are a very small hotel on the East End of the Island and we’ve done everything we can to keep going — but we’ve reached a point where stepping back is the most honest thing we can do.
We’re incredibly sorry to anyone this affects, and truly grateful for all the support, kindness, and love we’ve received from our guests and community ❤️
We’re hopeful this is just a pause, and that we’ll be able to welcome you back to the peaceful Lodge Camp Bay experience soon.
Thank you for understanding 🤍
We kindly ask that any frustrations are not directed toward our team, who have been working incredibly hard in a situation completely outside of their control.
