Anahita chose a life of manuscripts, endless edits, and uncertainty. She read her first book at the age of 8 and started dreaming of being an author, writing her first fanfiction the same year.

Self-published two novels as a teenager and recently traditionally publishing a novel with Harper Collins. She never let rejections come in the way of her dreams. Her book, “Better Catch Up, Krishna Kumar” has sold over 5000 copies.

Working as a freelancer will always have a negative connotation. However, that does not mean that the work coming in is any less in quantity, quality, or importance. ​

​In this clip of Bridging the Gap episode 18, Udit shares his experience of being a freelance expedition leader, taking multiple trips, sometimes long and always providing the best for his clients as well as the forest. He is able to provide quality work while having a huge quantity of it spread across a year. He is not afraid of hard work when it comes to his passion.​

There have been plenty of discussions around global warming and the extinction of certain animals especially
in a country like India which prides itself on the varieties of animals it has. However, pride alone does not
protect or safeguard the vulnerable. There is a systemic change that needs to be made at the society level.​

finding them in bad conditions due to the negligence of the guides and tourists. His solution has always been
to hire professionals and train local people on how to interact with the forests and animals. ​

recently started saving. However, he goes one step further and mentions how he wishes to earn enough
money for him to give back to the people as well as the environment.​

Regardless of not being able to save money for the longest time, the first thought always remains of
protecting those who protected you, the forests, the animals, and the ecosystem at large. ​

that are niche and yet sought after due to the love people have for it.​

Not every path to success looks the same. The assumption in society is that having a backup plan is better than not having one at all if pursuing a creative field. However, that is not always the case. Creative fields require training of their own kind. ​

In this clip of Bridging the Gap episode 18, Udit talks about how he chose ecology as a necessary path to his creative journey in the place of the traditional degrees. He chose courses which excited him and today he has not only achieved his dreams but continues to make a living from it. ​
