Sharing My Puerto Vallarta Daily perspective on life today, Tuesday Feb 24 in Puerto Vallarta 🇲🇽

🌴 A personal point of view of a local 🌴

Is it safe in Puerto Vallarta right now?

I’ll say it clearly: I feel safe.

Over the past few days, I stayed informed through official government and security communications only 📲. Authorities and the military consistently updated the public through verified channels. That matters. Everything I shared here was based strictly on those official sources to avoid rumors, fake news, or fabricated images. Facts over noise.

I feel safe because the “Code Red” was respected 🚨. People followed the shelter-in-place guidance. Streets were intentionally kept clear so security forces could operate effectively. Within 48 hours, life began returning to normal. That kind of response shows coordination and control. Respect.

I feel safe because this is Puerto Vallarta 🇲🇽.

I’ve lived in war zones, high-crime regions, and cities that experienced riots lasting weeks. What happened here was serious and not typical. Yes, hearing explosions and seeing burned vehicles creates anxiety. I felt that too. But the situation was contained quickly. Deep breath. Hydrate 💧. Music 🎶. Reset. And the city stabilized fast.

I’m sharing this for those who are not here and relying only on headlines 📰. The reality on the ground feels very different. At the same time, if you feel concerned, that’s valid. Everyone processes events differently.

What I witnessed was community 🤝. Neighbors checking on neighbors. Businesses reopening 🛒. Security forces present and visible 🛡️. People cooperating. That is strength.

If you’re thinking of coming, don’t let fear make the decision for you ✈️. And if you need to postpone until you feel fully comfortable, that’s completely understandable. 🙌

Puerto Vallarta is resilient 🌅. It is welcoming. And it continues moving forward.

The kitchen is fully outfitted to prepare meals for entire groups.

Expect gentle ocean/mountain breezes, chirping birds, and an authentic Mexican neighborhood feel all within a short walk of downtown Puerto Vallarta. Stroll the world-famous ocean side Malecon, the trendy Romantic Zone and the beautiful Rio Cuale area all nearby. World class dining, shopping and entertainment are all at your fingertips.

All invited! Office of Cultural Projects, Los Mangos Library, and University Center of the Coast, invite you to the inauguration of "Retrovisor. History can be seen closer than it seems", an exhibition that covers more than one hundred years of history culture of Puerto Vallarta, with the rescue of events within literature, theater, cinema, dance, traditions, among others. Because knowing our history allows us to be contemporary.
