We recently had the pleasure of hosting this wonderful couple at McKinley Edwards Inn as they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary! 🥂
From a sweet kiss in the garden to simply enjoying the mountain views side by side, these moments were a beautiful reminder that some of life's greatest adventures are the ones we share with the person we love.
After 50 years together, they've clearly still got that spark! ❤️
It was an absolute joy to capture these special moments and play a small part in their celebration.

We were honored to host the North Carolina Wildlife Federation here at McKinley Edwards Inn over the past few days!
Thank you for choosing us as your home away from home while gathering, connecting, and continuing the important work you do on behalf of North Carolina’s wildlife and wild places. We’re grateful for everything your organization does to protect habitats, support conservation, and help preserve the natural beauty that makes our state so special.
It was a pleasure getting to know so many wonderful people, sharing meals, conversations, mountain views, a special elk walk and a few evenings around the fire.

🌲 Ready to see the Smoky Mountains from a whole new angle? 🧗‍♂️💨
If you’re visiting Bryson City and looking to add a little adrenaline to your mountain getaway, the Nantahala Gorge has some fantastic opportunities to zip through the treetops, cross sky bridges and take in incredible mountain views!

One local favorite is Wildwater Ltd, their Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tour features 11 ziplines and 7 sky bridges, taking you through several different forest ecosystems with views toward Fontana Lake and the surrounding Smokies. They also offer rafting-and-zipline combinations if you want to turn it into a full adventure day.

Another great choice is , where the Mountaintop Zip Line takes you high above the Nantahala Gorge — at points more than 350 feet above the Nantahala River — with sweeping mountain views. Families can also check out their Treetop Adventure Park + Zip for a different kind of aerial adventure.
And if you’re up for a scenic drive during your Smoky Mountain vacation, near Scaly Mountain offers mountaintop zipline tours along with aerial adventures, a giant swing and other outdoor activities.

What a night! 🔎🕯️
Last night, we stepped back in time for The Angel’s Ledger: A McKinley Edwards Inn Murder Mystery, and our guests absolutely brought the characters to life.

There were secrets, suspicious alibis, hidden motives, plenty of accusations… and, of course, a murder to solve. Everyone came ready to play their part, and that is what made the evening so much fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped turn the Inn into our own little world of mystery for the night. We loved seeing the costumes, the conversations, the theories, and all the laughter along the way. Bravo everyone!

You’ll mingle with characters like:
⚖️ McKinley Edwards — respected attorney and decorated veteran with a secret someone is using against him.
📖 Annie Angel Edwards — sharp businesswoman who has discovered money missing from her new apartment project.
💰 Silas Blackwood — wealthy developer, political fixer, and a man who seems to know everyone’s secrets. Played by Ryan Dellos - Innkeeper
📰 Clara Belle Sutton — determined newspaper reporter digging into suspicious land deals.
🚔 Sheriff Amos Caldwell — the local sheriff who may know more than he is willing to admit.
