The following trails in the northern Black Mountains are now open. All other trails and Mt. Mitchell State Park are closed.

Open Trails:
Colbert Ridge
Woody Ridge
Black Mountain Crest Trail from Bolens Creek to Deep Gap (closed south of Deep Gap).
Roaring Fork Falls
Big Butt Trail from Cane River Gap (NC 197) to Little Butt overlook.

Please obey the trail closed signs on other trails in the Blacks. Hikers have been fined for entering the closed areas.
