Picture the second Sunday of September.

Lincoln Avenue closes off in the afternoon. By six, a one hundred foot table runs the length of Calistoga's main street, a community event that brings stranger's and local's together to celebrate this valley and our special corner. With a multitude of Calistoga restaurants participating you can choose from gourmet Auro to hometown favorite Café Sarafornia.

This is Harvest Table. September 13. Calistoga's whole-town dinner.

The cottages always go first for this weekend. Now's the moment to book your cottage and set a reminder to purchase your tickets for a dinner that you will never forget.

Tickets are expected to go on sale mid-July on the Visit Calistoga website!

You hear it before you see it. Walk five minutes south on Lincoln from the cottage and the music drifts out of Romeo Vineyards' open doors all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, all weekend long.

Duck in. Order a glass of something cold. Stay as long as the set keeps you.

The cottage will be waiting when the last song fades.

She woke up first.

Made the espresso, carried it out to the patio, sat down before the Palisades mountains had finished turning gold. By nine they were on the cruiser bikes, rolling toward Lincoln Avenue. By eleven they were at a tasting they'd been meaning to do for two years. By two they were eating lunch on a soak drenched patio.

They walked back slowly. The light was already starting to soften.

This is what June in Calistoga does.

A small piece of summer, just over the horizon. Every Thursday from June 12 through mid-August, Pioneer Park fills with the sound of a live band, local wineries pouring by the glass, food vendors set up under the trees. Free, easy, the kind of evening you don't have to plan that makes you feel like a local.

Pioneer Park is a few blocks from the cottages, a soft walk back when the last note finds its way home.

There's a place in Napa Valley where the morning fog rolls in like a soft white sea, and rises high above it, untouched, sits Howell Mountain. The locals have a name for it: the best place on earth, just above the fog.
On Saturday, June 20th, that magic comes down from the mountain.
The 31st Annual Taste of Howell Mountain returns to the Great Lawn at the historic Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, and after three decades, this remains one of the most beloved gatherings on the Napa Valley calendar.
Picture an afternoon spent wandering beneath ancient oaks, glass in hand, as 50 of Howell Mountain's most celebrated wineries pour the bottles that have made this rugged appellation legendary. Estates such as Dunn, Castiel, La Jota, Robert Craig, O'Shaughnessy, Outpost, Lamborn, Arkenstone, Revana, and Howell Mountain Vineyards, all gathered in one place, sharing the fruits of their mountain.

From noon to 5pm lose yourself in the walk-around tasting, gourmet food pairings, silent auction, and prizes around every turn, sweet bites, and the always-spirited live auction, with proceeds benefiting the Angwin Volunteer Fire Department.
