🐝🍂 WHAT’S BUZZING IN WNC WEST THIS WEEK?
Fall is heating up across the mountains! September 21–27 brings fairs, Appalachian heritage, live music, classic cars, farmers markets and family fun throughout Western North Carolina WEST. ⛰️🍁

🎻 JACKSON COUNTY — Mountain Heritage Days takes over Western Carolina University, with the main festival Saturday! Plus, catch Pickin’ in the Park Friday evening in Sylva.

🎡 MACON COUNTY — The Macon County Fair runs Sept. 23–26 in Franklin with agriculture, livestock, crafts, baked goods, youth exhibits and more.

🚜 CLAY COUNTY — Head to Hayesville Saturday for the 20th Annual Ag Day & Tractor Parade! The final Thursday Farmers Market of the season is also happening this week.

🎠 HAYWOOD COUNTY — NEW TO OUR WNC WEST COVERAGE! — The Haywood County Fair runs Sept. 24–27, and Saturday night brings the Hazelwood Hot Summer Nights Cruise-In from 6–9 PM on Hazelwood Avenue in Waynesville. 🚘🔥

🥾 SWAIN COUNTY — Enjoy Smokies Fall Skiwalking in Bryson City and the Explore 4-H Series later in the week.

🪶 CHEROKEE AREA — Community activities at Cherokee Choices include yoga, Voices Together and the after-school program.
🏔️ GRAHAM COUNTY — Nothing major on our verified list this week, but we’ll keep watching for additions.
