Celebrating freedom, heritage, and the power of tradition this Juneteenth.
Did you know the blue historic porches trace back to the Gullah Geechee people?
Known as “Haint Blue,” this tradition was used by enslaved and newly freed families to ward off bad spirits (“haints”) by mimicking the color of water and sky.
It transformed porches into spaces of protection, peace, and community. At the Keystone Inn, we love that our historic Gettysburg home carries on these timeless American traditions.
This season, step away from the noise, honor the past, and rest under our beautiful blue ceilings.
