Tucked away in the heart of Gettysburg, this historic Bed & Breakfast offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in living history while enjoying modern comforts. The Brickhouse Inn consists of an 1898 Victorian house (8 rooms) and the c.1830 historic Welty House (6 rooms). Located in the historic downtown area of Gettysburg, PA, the inn is within easy walking distance of most shops and restaurants. It has its own off-street parking lot and is set in lovely gardens with waterfalls and a koi pond.

A recent guest at Gettysburg's Brickhouse Inn had an encounter she won't soon forget.

As she made her way upstairs to her room, she spotted what appeared to be a solid, fully formed apparition: a tall man with dark hair wearing a black jacket, walking purposefully down the hallway.

On this day in 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg came to an end after three days of intense fighting that became a turning point in the Civil War.

As Union and Confederate forces clashed throughout the town, the Welty House stood directly in the line of fire.

The home served as both a shelter for the Welty family and their neighbors and a position for sharpshooters, enduring relentless crossfire that left lasting marks still visible today.

More than 160 years later, the Welty House remains a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made during one of America's most significant battles.
