August is a busy month for hummingbirds in our area as they get ready for their big trip south! Ruby-throated hummingbirds winter in southern Mexico and Central America, and some hummingbirds fly over 1,000 miles in order to reach their wintering grounds. So make sure to wish them "Bon Voyage!" when you see them!
