North Star Camp for Boys is a premiere traditional residential camp located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

We offer four or eight-week sessions with diverse programming including adventure, athletics, creative arts and water sports. North Star Camp is a residential boys camp in Northern Wisconsin. With a diverse program, we've been creating memorable summers since 1945. North Star has a great mix of athletics, waters sports, adventure and arts programming as well as a great wilderness trips program.

It’s a beautiful day in the Northwoods. ☀️ Our trippers just passed their WFR course and we’re assembling the docks today. 🏊‍♂️

In today’s Staff Spotlight, we are excited to welcome first time international counselors: Tristan (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿), JJ (🇿🇦), Jack (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿), David (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿), and Luke (🇳🇿).

We will have 1️⃣5️⃣ countries represented on staff in 2026! 🌎

Next up in Staff Spotlights is our small but mighty 2026 CIT Class!

The North Star Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is a selective experiential program where former campers step into counselor and activity instructor roles for the first time. CITs live in camper cabins, teach activities, and help plan special events, all while receiving mentorship and feedback from experienced staff to develop leadership, communication, and professional skills.

Please join us in welcoming this year’s CITs: Stuart, Ethan, Colby, Sam, and Cooper. We can’t wait to see the impact they have this summer!

Caring, compassion, and emotional intelligence are more than just “soft skills.” At North Star, they are the defining traits of a North Star man. 🌲

From the counselors who act as mentors and cheerleaders in the cabins to the deliberate way we approach mental health and wellbeing, we are focused on the bigger picture: raising boys who are as kind as they are resilient.

It is about creating an environment where boys feel supported enough to take risks, and where they learn that taking care of themselves and each other is a mark of strength.

🚨🗣️One month from TODAY, the buses will be rolling through the North Star Arches and our 82nd Summer will be underway!! We’re super excited…are you?!

Our first batch of staff have already arrived at camp to start getting camp ready. Summer is almost here!

Today’s Staff Spotlight welcomes four new cabin counselors to the team: Pablo, Ron, Logan, and Pedro!

Special mention to Ron who has been to North Star for seven summers as part of our annual Four Star Fellowship through . We’re very excited that he will be joining us for the full summer for the first time. 🙌

Rounding out our wilderness trip leader team are three more top notch trip leaders! From the shores of the Namekagon and Flambeau Rivers, to the trails and lush wilderness of the Superior Hiking Trail and Quetico Provincial Park, our trip leaders will bring the FUN all summer long to our wilderness camping trips. 🛶

After a few years away, we’re excited to welcome Gabe back to the squad. And please welcome first timers Aubree & Ankush to camp!🏕️

Next up for the Staff Spotlights is our first batch of wilderness trip leaders!

Every camper goes on a wilderness camping trip with their cabin during their 4-week session. It’s a way to instill appreciation for nature with our campers, as well as push them outside of their comfort zones. Working together and communicating in a canoe? ✅ Learning life skills like grit and perseverance when the trip gets challenging? ✅✅ Playing games, telling stories, and bonding with your cabinmates around the fire? ✅🔥✅

We’re excited to welcome this group of trippers to the North Star team: Ronak, Mars, and Nicola. Can’t wait to hear about all the amazing stories and food they cook up (pun intended 😉) on their trips this summer!

We’re excited to welcome back some of our amazing Junior Village counselors from last summer. These four counselors brought the wacky FUN and excitement every day for our campers. Will they be in the J-Village again in 2026? Only time will tell. 😉😉
