Whiplash, through someone else’s lens. 🤍

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the incredibly talented Megan I Minneapolis Newborn + Family Photographer and her family to Whiplash, and seeing this place through her lens is pretty special.

Somewhere between days on the lake, fishing from the dock, kids in the water and nights around the fire, she captured Whiplash exactly as we hope it feels.

Not staged. Not styled. Just summer in the Northwoods and a family enjoying this place the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Sitting right on Whiplash Lake, the Boathouse is a space every guest gets to enjoy. Grab a table for lunch, gather for dinner overlooking the lake, spend the afternoon on the deck or come back together after a full day on the water.

One more month of long lake days.
One more month of kids racing to the dock.
One more month of evening boat rides, campfires, fishing, and swims that somehow turn into sunset.

Before long, the mornings will be cooler, the leaves will start to changeand fall will settle into the Northwoods.

July looks good here.

The best part of a Whiplash summer isn’t having a packed itinerary.

It’s kids staying in the water until the sun starts to set.

It’s coffee on the porch before everyone wakes up.

It’s fishing from the pontoon, evening walks, dogs that never want to leave, and campfires that somehow last longer than planned.

These are the moments our guests take home with them.

We’re halfway through another incredible summer, and we’re grateful to be a small part of so many family memories.
