Mindfulness Gathering for Cancer Healing

Join us for conversation on Peaceful Presence: Mindfulness Gathering for Cancer Healing. Learn the basics of mindfulness and meditation, how these tools can help with fatigue, depression, anxiety, insomnia and other conditions related to cancer and cancer treatment and enjoy several mindfulness activities.

This informal social provides a forum for those affected by cancer to make friendships and support one another through the challenges that follow active treatment. All survivors and those receiving active treatment are welcome, whether you were diagnosed with cancer today or years ago. We look forward to coming together to show solidarity in the ongoing fight against cancer and find ways to flourish.

Construction for the veteran’s day spa begins the first week in December! The float tank, Ice Bath and Mineral Soaking tub just arrived! The spa wil feature a salt-halotherapy room, cryo-therapy room, zero-gravity massage chairs, saunas, chromotherapy, aromatherapy magnet therapy and infra-red therapy.

We will offer a variety of wellness workshops for events that will be open to the public for a reconmended donation to our 501 c (3) IRS tax exempt non-profit benefiting Alleghany & Bath County veterans, cancer survivors and their families.

These events will include foraging native edibles, craft brew/cider making, whiskey/bourbon/scotch pairings & tastings, themed dining fundraiser events and more

Among the adventure activities we host are hatchet throwing, archery, sporting clays, a 3d archery lane, ATVing, canyoneering at Blue Waters Gorge on our farm.

Activities for the public are based on recommended donations to our 501 c (3) IRS tax exempt non-profit benefiting the veterans and cancer survivors & family of Bath & Alleghany County.
For Veterans, can er survivors and families there is no fee.

You will notice our name has finally changed, in keeping with the therapeutic qualities and healing elements of this area, we are now, Healing Waters Inn.

A multi-dimensional sensory experience of nature-based sights, sounds and scents giving our guests a wilderness spa-like experience.

We also offer a number of wellness products aimedcat making your sleep experience more comfortable including scented eye masks and heated/cooled eye pillows, in-room and shower, aromatherapy and sound machines, plush robes, mineral baths, pand a variety of therapeutic equipment to ease chronic pain, headaches and sleeplessness. We are also pleased to announce thst we will begin building a personal wellness day spa with a float tank, salt room and IR sauna with chromotherapy and aromatherapy in 2026. Meanwhile, we facilitate services such as massages, accupuncture, reiki, forest-bathing, sound-healing and mindfulness & meditation activities or events.

COMING SOON!

The renovation of the old ‘slaughterhouse’ turned Dr Pole’s Apothecary is just about complete.

We turned the place into an appropriately themed guest-house “an old doctor’s office” complete with 19th century antique medical tools and vintage apothecary-herbalist and medical gothic decor. Once it’s been refurnished and the balcony and porch are rebuilt we expect to open on Air BnB & VRBO by mid-Fall.

Outside we are planting a medicinal tea and herb garden to complete the aesthetic.
