Construction has begun on a trio of Geo-Grid sites! Shown here is Site No. 33, which overlooks the playground and pool area. The site is getting a front patio and steps, as well as an RV pad. "That site has been built up about a foot in the corner, by the sign, in order to level it," says Terrell Deppe, co-owner of Indian River RV Resort with his wife, Katie. "The paver patio is 8 ft x 18 ft. with steps down to the oversized yard." 🍃Geo-grids have a high-load bearing capacity and prevent RVs from shifting or sinking into mud. Adding sand and gravel to the interlocking honeycomb structure—the geo grid—creates a permanent, rut-free parking area that allows water to flow through and be absorbed into the earth. 🌲Indian River RV Resort is thankful for our returning guests and the new guests we look forward to meeting this season. The rumors are true: After more than 100 years as one of Northern Michigan’s most iconic state landmarks, big changes are finally happening at Legs Inn.

We are repairing the front roof.

After a century of Northern Michigan winters, it was time.

Yes, the cast-iron stove legs that give Legs Inn its name have been meticulously removed to complete the restoration work. Rest assured, the iconic “legs” will return once the project is complete.

And despite a few wildly creative local theories, Legs Inn isn’t going anywhere — we’re just getting a little less drippy.

Thanks again for your understanding and patience as we strive to preserve our small piece of Northern Michigan history for the next generation.

The Camp Breakfast is for hearty appetites and includes 3 eggs, Northern Michigan's favorite Plath's bacon, sausage, American fries, and camp toast. Huevos Rancheros spices up your morning, and smoked brisket hash with eggs and redskin potatoes, sweet onions, and toast is awesome when you want something different but familiar, and guaranteed to be good. At lunch, the Monte Cristo Sandwich is second to none. It's slathered with local raspberry jam, and this is the only place that steps up a Monte Cristo with plenty of turkey and ham on cinnamon-swirl toast. What?! Yes, you read that right!
