🌈🏔️ Mountain Pride is a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening and celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities throughout mountain towns, including Leadville and Lake County.

💛 Recognizing that rural communities often have fewer accessible resources and support systems, Mountain Pride creates opportunities for connection, belonging, and support through:

🏳️‍🌈 In Leadville and surrounding areas, they help foster belonging through local programming, partnerships, safe spaces, and initiatives that support LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and allies year-round — not just during Pride Month.

🏔️ Their work focuses on improving access, increasing visibility, and building stronger, more inclusive mountain communities for everyone. 💫

💰Proceeds from June's Trivia Night at Freight will directly fund Mountain Pride's efforts to expand programming in Leadville and Lake County, creating visibility, unity and belonging.

The Boxcar Bar is open Thursday–Sunday from 5–9 PM
— and we love when locals use it as a gathering space.

Right now:
• Second Thursdays → Book Club + Sauna
• Third Thursdays → Community Cribbage Night

Both started with someone saying, “We should get people together.” Now they’re part of our monthly rhythm.

If you’ve been thinking about hosting something for our 21+ community, we’d love to explore it with you.

The Boxcar Bar is perfect for quaint, low-pressure, come-as-you-are events. No big production. Just people, conversation, and a friendly bar serving both non-alcohol and alcohol drinks.
