Located on HWY 90 at the corner of Dean and San Antonio, Corte del Norte was home to the 'mother of West Texas Tex-Mex' according to Robb Walsh in his book, The Tex-Mex Cookbook. From 1887 until 1987, the Old Borunda Cafe served both locals and movie stars alike, including James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor during the filming of Giant.
