Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest lake in Connecticut. Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For over 90 years, thousands of Scouts and leaders have had unforgettable Scouting exp

eriences at Camp Workcoeman. Camp Workcoeman is used year-round for short-term camping for all Scouting Cub Packs, Scout Troops, and Venture Crews, as well as district and Order of the Arrow activities. During the six week summer camp season, over 1200 Scouts enjoy unforgettable Scouting experiences. The summer camp season consists of 6 weeks of Boy Scout Resident Adventure Camp as well as Cub Scout Day Camp. It is also home to Laurel Music Camp. Is Eagle Scout your goal? Take another step along the trail at Trail to Eagle Merit Badge Day at Camp Workcoeman!

Saturday, October 24th
8:30am-5:00pm

This special program gives Scouts the opportunity to work on an Eagle-required merit badge in a focused setting with experienced Merit Badge Counselors. Whether you’re just beginning your journey toward Eagle or working to complete those final requirements, this is a great opportunity to keep moving forward!

- Emergency Preparedness
- Environmental Science

Some merit badges may require prerequisite or follow-up work, so Scouts should review the requirements for their selected badge before attending.

Webelos Woods is a weekend designed especially for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts as they experience the next step in their Scouting adventure! Scouts will spend the weekend camping, building outdoor skills, completing adventures, enjoying exciting activities, and getting a taste of the Scouts BSA experience.

Today we were excited to welcome youth from Meriden Parks & Recreation Camp to Camp Workcoeman for a day of outdoor adventure!

Throughout their visit, campers got a taste of the Workcoeman experience through field games, climbing, and swimming. From challenging themselves on the climbing wall to cooling off in the water, it was a day filled with fun, teamwork, and plenty of smiles.

We loved having the Meriden campers join us and getting the opportunity to introduce another group of young people to all that Camp Workcoeman has to offer.

Thanks for spending the day with us—we hope to see you back at camp again!

MERIT BADGE COMPLETION DAY — AUGUST 29!

Have a merit badge that’s almost finished? Now’s the time to get it across the finish line!

Join us for Merit Badge Completion Day and work on those remaining requirements with counselors available to help Scouts complete their badges.
