Established in 1924, Camp Workcoeman is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the county. This fine tradition of Scouting continues today.

Camp Workcoeman is located in the hills of northwest Connecticut in scenic New Hartford. The camp consists of approximately 427 acres on the shore of beautiful West Hill Pond, possibly the cleanest lake in Connecticut. Established in 1924, it is one of the oldest continuously operated Scout camps in the country. For over 90 years, thousands of Scouts and leaders have had unforgettable Scouting experiences at Camp Workcoeman. Camp Workcoeman is used year-round for short-term camping for all Scouting Cub Packs, Scout Troops, and Venture Crews, as well as district and Order of the Arrow activities. During the six week summer camp season, over 1200 Scouts enjoy unforgettable Scouting experiences. The summer camp season consists of 6 weeks of Boy Scout Resident Adventure Camp as well as Cub Scout Day Camp. It is also home to Laurel Music Camp. WEBELOS WOODS 2026!

What an incredible weekend of Scouting adventure thus far! Our Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts are having a fantastic time exploring camp, learning new outdoor skills, taking on exciting challenges, and making new friends along the way!

Tonight the Scouts will enjoy a flag retreat, magic show, dinner and campfire!

Thank you to the Charter Oak District CRC BSA for organizing an engaging and memorable camporee this weekend at Camp Workcoeman. Scouts are putting their first aid and teamwork skills to the test as they participate in stations throughout camp!

CUB SCOUT AUTUMN ADVENTURE – NOVEMBER 14TH!

WEBELOS WOODS UPDATE – NEW DATE!

Due to the weather forecast for this weekend, Webelos Woods at Camp Workcoeman has been postponed to October 23–25!

While we're disappointed that we won't be gathering this weekend, we're excited to welcome everyone back in October for an outstanding weekend of Scouting, adventure, outdoor skills, and fun!

And there's some good news: registration is reopening!

If your Webelos or Arrow of Light Scout wasn't able to join us this weekend, the new date is another opportunity to experience Webelos Woods. New Scouts, families, and dens are welcome to register for October 23–25. See the registration link in the comments section.

Already registered? You're all set! Your registration will carry over to the new weekend. Those unable to attend the new date will be eligible for a full refund.
