🌲 Moose sightings are becoming a regular thing around Rangeley Lake Resort lately! 🌲

One of our guests spotted three moose the other day, and we happened to see three ourselves last night too! We were lucky enough to capture a couple photos to share with everyone.

They may look a little muddy and rough around the edges this time of year, but that’s just part of early spring in Maine. Seeing these incredible animals in their natural habitat is always such a special experience.

A very popular activity in the Rangeley region is bird-watching and we've certainly had a lot of fun with this over the years. "Welllll, who are YOUUUU.....???" is a common comment of mine this time of year with all the migrating birds coming through. Our friends at the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust are hosting their annual Rangeley Birding Festival June 4 - 7 this year. It's a great opportunity to get out with a group, a leader, be shown all the hot spots in the region, and gain a wealth of information about this exciting activity. We've been very fortunate to see and photograph a variety of birds over the years. Here's a few ours if you'd like to take a look. What you really oughtta do is get here and enjoy them yourself! The Birding Festival would be a great time to do it!

🌊🎣 It’s official… Ice Out on Rangeley Lake! 🎣🌊

Spring has arrived in Rangeley! Ice Out was called yesterday afternoon on April 28, and that can only mean one thing… the fishermen are back!

The local boat launch is already buzzing, and while the trees are still waking up, this is our true sign that a new season has begun.

Who’s ready for days on the water? 🌄
