We had the honor of hosting the Lajoie Brothers company retreat this past weekend, and loved that they came equipped with their own American flag to fly during their stay — especially since our pole is in need of a little repair!

I’m a little upset we didn’t get the invite to the social too!

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of meeting Todd Park of Northern Sons Outfitters LLC, and are honored to now be showcasing one of his stunning relief wood carvings, The Unlucky Fisherman, in our office space!

This stunning piece was created in collaboration with Todd's good friend, Ralph Nugent. Todd's exceptional carving and woodburning, paired with Ralph's ability to capture movement and bring the landscape to life through his painting, combine to create a truly remarkable work of art.

📣We're excited to share that this one-of-a-kind piece is for sale!📣

If you're in the area, we invite you to stop by and see it in person. Photos simply don't capture the level of detail and craftsmanship that went into creating it. Every detail reflects countless hours of craftsmanship, and the piece tells a story that is sure to become a conversation starter.

If this piece speaks to you—or if you'd like to explore more of Todd's incredible work—be sure to reach out to Northern Sons Outfitters, LLC on Facebook or Instagram.

Thank you again, Todd, for trusting us to showcase your incredible talent. We're proud to have this beautiful piece on display!

We’re naturally receiving a lot of questions about when the restaurant will reopen now.

While the rezoning approval lays the foundation for what’s ahead, it is just the first step in a much larger process. The restaurant requires significant updates, renovations, additional permitting, and state licensing before it can welcome guests again. These improvements are necessary to ensure the facility meets current building, health, and safety standards.

Reopening the restaurant is a long-term project, and we want to make sure we do it right! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through each step of the process.

We’re excited about the future and look forward to sharing updates along the way. Thank you for your continued encouragement and support—we can’t wait to welcome everyone back when the time is right!

It’s a good day to have a GREAT day—because we did it!

Today, the LUPC Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the rezoning of Maynard’s into a conforming recreational lodging use.

While this is just the first step toward our long-term vision for Maynard’s, we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. A heartfelt thank you to our engineer, the LUPC staff, everyone who dedicated their time throughout this process, and the many supporters who stood behind us every step of the way.

We know there is still plenty of work ahead, but today marks an important milestone. We’re excited to continue restoring and preserving this special place, honoring its long history while helping ensure it can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who believed in our vision and supported us along the way. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to the next chapter at Maynard’s!

🇺🇸 Is this the largest American flag in the Moosehead Lake Region? 🇺🇸

This incredible American flag is on display at Maynard's-In-Maine in Rockwood, and it's quite a sight to see!

What do you think... is there a larger flag anywhere in the Moosehead Lake Region? 🤔

📸 We'd love to see your patriotic displays! Share your flag photos in the comments and let's celebrate Independence Day together. ❤️🤍💙

🌸🌲 Welcome to Rockwood – The Heart of Moosehead Lake! 🌲🌸

Have you noticed how beautiful the Welcome to Rockwood sign looks?

A little birdie told me that the Blue Ridge Riders and board members, the new owners of Maynard's, along with a few friends, have done a fantastic job freshening up and beautifying the entrance to town. It looks wonderful and is such a welcoming sight for residents and visitors alike!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated their time and hard work to make this happen. Small acts like these make a big difference and show the pride people have in our community. ❤️
