Floated Mutleys Bar from St James today. Ive known most of the gals that have worked there over the years, all great gals! Nice group all the way around! Been hearing good things about Mutleys drinks and food! Last floating group of the year! Thanks to all my floaters and campers in 26! See you in 27! You are the best! Turkeys seem to be more plentiful this year around here so maybe a good fall or spring turkey season. I actually saw a Bob white quail cross Thurman Lake Rd a couple days ago. Havnt seen any cross the road for years!

Tryten Reynolds and his group, about all are from Linn or going to State Tech in Linn Mo. One of the nicest group of young people that Ive ever floated! My grandfather Paul B. Dessieux was one of the original donors I believe to get Linn Tech off the ground. So proud of him for donating money and so proud of my father Russell Dessieux who also grew up in Linn. We also owned much of St. Albert Island where we used to deer hunt. Great memories! Anyhow State Tech is huge now and very well known and well thought of! It only takes a spark to get a fire going!

What type tree is this! Other than willows and sycamores, I see this as bout the 3rd most tree trying to grow and rejuvenate eroded river banks here at ADVENTURE OUTDOORS! My guess is a scaly barked birch?
