**The Beauty of Staying at a Small Inn ❤️**

There's something wonderfully different about staying at a bed-and-breakfast.

At Stone Hill Inn, we're not a large hotel or a sprawling resort. We're a small, independently owned, nine-room inn where hospitality is personal, mornings are meant to be savored, and the pace of life is just a little slower.

Here, you'll find cozy fireplaces, oversized Jacuzzi tubs, beautiful mountain views, peaceful gardens, and a leisurely three-course breakfast prepared with care each morning.

What you won't find is a bustling lobby, a 24-hour front desk, room service, or an army of employees behind the scenes.

Instead, you'll find us, your innkeepers, Todd and Kristie, along with our small, dedicated team, working to make your stay memorable.

Because we're a small inn, things work a little differently than they do at a large hotel. Breakfast is served during designated hours, check-in begins at 4 PM, and we don't have the staffing or facilities to offer every service that a full-service resort might provide.

But that's part of the charm.

We believe luxury isn't always about having everything available at every hour. Sometimes, it's about the quiet, the attention to detail, the homemade breakfast, the personal touches, and the feeling of being welcomed somewhere truly special.

🍁 **Oh, Vermont…you’ve outdone yourself this year.** 🍁

We stepped outside today to capture a few photos around the Inn, and after **10 fall seasons here at Stone Hill**, we can honestly say we don't remember ever seeing the colors quite this brilliant.

The reds are redder. The oranges are glowing. The golds seem to light up the landscape. Everywhere we look, fall is putting on a spectacular show. ❤️🧡💛

Stowe is bustling right now, with visitors coming from near and far to experience this beautiful season.

But here at the Inn?

It's wonderfully different.

Quiet. Peaceful. Serene.

Just nine guest rooms tucked away on 9½ acres, surrounded by brilliant foliage, gardens, our waterfall and walking trail — yet only minutes from everything happening in Stowe.

You can spend the day exploring all the energy and beauty of town, then come back, close the door behind you, and hear…almost nothing.

Maybe the waterfall.
The rustle of leaves.
A crackling fire.

And that's about it. 🍂

The cold nights and warm days are really firing up the color. Officials are saying, and we agree, this is the most beautiful fall VT has seen in the last 12 years! Predicted to be long lasting and already proving to be the most vivid. Here are scenes from today. 9/30/26

🍂 **The Most Underrated Time to Visit Stowe…**

Everyone knows Vermont for peak foliage. But there’s a quieter season that comes just after the brilliant leaves fade — and we think it might be one of the most beautiful times of all.

**Stick Season.** 🤎

Late October slips into early November. The mountains turn soft and moody. Mornings are cold and misty. Most of the leaves have fallen, carpeting the trails and forest floor in shades of copper, gold and rust.

And Stowe gets wonderfully quiet.

The trails are still there…without the crowds.
Restaurant reservations are easier to come by.
The village slows down.
Fires feel a little cozier.
And suddenly, there’s nowhere you need to be.

It’s such a uniquely Vermont season that our own Noah Kahan put a name — and a soundtrack — to it. 🎶

Come hike. Wander through town. Take a long scenic drive. Return to the Inn for a soak in your Jacuzzi and an evening beside the fire.

No foliage traffic. No rushing from one “must-see” spot to another.

Just crisp mountain air, bare trees, quiet trails and that beautiful little pause between autumn and winter.
