Our gardens are full of life. Birds, butterflies, and the occasional woodland guest wander through. We even have wildlife cameras that give you a peek into the surrounding forest. 🐻

"Secluded Fall Getaway -- We had an amazing time! Stowe was crowded and we picked a very busy weekend to be in the area but none of that mattered once we got here. We felt very secluded and were able to enjoy the fall foliage on property. The rooms and common areas were so clean, decorated beautifully, and everywhere smelled amazing. Fire place in the room was easy to operate and bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the owners were so nice and accommodating! Hot apple cider, blankets for by the fire, they thought of everything. Wish I could give 10 stars!! My only regret is not staying longer, will happily make another trip back here, cannot say enough good things!"

Fall in Vermont is a season, not a single week. 🍂 Our advice? Don’t plan your entire Vermont getaway around one predicted peak date. Every part of fall has its own personality. Whether you catch the first hint of orange, the mountains at full peak, or the golden leaves scattered along a quiet trail, there really isn’t a bad time to experience autumn in Stowe.

Mid-September to Mid-October (The Color Spectrum)
You can expect plenty of brilliant autumn color somewhere across Stowe and the surrounding Green Mountains.

Early to Mid-September
The landscape remains lush and green, but subtle splashes of fiery yellow, orange, and deep red begin to paint the canopy. It is a peaceful, uncrowded time to explore.

Late October
You’ll find a romantic, rustic blend of lingering mountain color, late-turning oak trees, and golden leaves carpeting the forest trails, complete with that unmistakable, cozy late-autumn Vermont air.

Early November
We begin transitioning into what locals affectionately call "Stick Season." The leaves clear out, revealing breathtaking, unobstructed mountain views, quieter village streets, and the first hints of winter anticipation.
