A dusting of snow on the tops of the mountains provides a stunning backdrop for the reds and yellows emerging just beyond the green summer grass! As I stand at my woodpile and stack the fuel for the winter, I am thinking and praying for our friends and neighbors who lost so much in the recent fire. God restores what was taken from us, sometimes 7 fold, and so I'm praying that you're hard fought winter work will be restored, and every need met with overflowing abundance!

So many of you have been so kind to reach out and ask if we are ok. We are, and praise God no lives were lost in the fire! But so many of our friends and neighbors lost their homes. Our hearts are broken for them. Our awesome town has come together to design and build these winter- ready emergency shelters for families in need to get them through the winter. This video was taken after a community meeting about the fire.

The homes are 12x18 homes wired for electricity, insulated to R21 with spray foam, and delivered to families where they will be finished with plumbing and heating. These shells cost about $6,000 each to build. If you would like to help donate to this project, you can call Denali State Bank in Tok at (907) 883-2265 and donate directly to the Cornerstone Foundation account, specifying Arctic Tiny Home Project. We have had the most amazing guests this year from all over the United States, and around the world! This summer has been full of smiles, campfires, and incredible stories of adventure ❤️ We are so grateful for every guest that we've had the pleasure of hosting! This was a really fun group, and demanded i join them in their family photo and be sure to get the flag! I am terrible at the selfie 😆 They surprised me by bringing me breakfast and my new friend Arka gave me the sweetest gift! What an awesome crew!! They said this was their favorite place of any They had stayed at on their trip 🥰
