R Cabins are Family owned vacation cabins in central UP of Michigan (26 mi. to Munising, 30 to Manistique), easy day trips in every direction. Pictured Rocks to the north, Seney wildlife refuge and Taquamanon Falls to the east. Miner's Museum and lots of other day trip places. central to a lot of nature activities/attractions. Most of our renters have been seasonal - hunters, heading to the wild c

ountry for deer, and people just wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of their work-a-day lives. We have 4 rentable cabins with A/C, 2 with 2 double beds, 1 with 2 double beds and a single, 1 with a double bed and a single. Pans, dishes, flatware, coffeemaker, and microwave. What renters will need to bring for themselves include: food, towels, and personal items.

Update 5-1-26; The water level is slowly going down, however the raft still is not able to dock correctly with the current level. It will be closed through the weekend.

The raft at Kitch-iti-kipi is currently closed due to high water. It will remain closed until the water level goes down and the raft can dock and lock into place safely.

*Public Notice*

Subject: Upcoming Bridge Construction and Road Closure Notice on CR-432 East of Rock.
The existing bridge on CR-432 over the Rapid River in Maple Ridge Township Delta County, Michigan, was constructed in 1939. The bridge is currently load-restricted and does not meet current design standards.
Beginning May 18, 2026, crews will begin removing and replacing the E. Maple 37th Road (CR-432) Bridge over the Rapid River. The Project is scheduled for final completion on October 16, 2026.
During construction, the bridge will be closed to all traffic. The proposed detour route is shown on the attached map and is approximately 30 miles in length.
We apologize for any inconvenience this project may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this necessary improvement.

The walk to the Eben Ice Caves is short enough for families but still feels like an adventure. The canyon walls turn into massive ice formations each winter, with colors shaped by sandstone and cedar. It’s cold, slippery, and completely worth it.
