Huge News for all ORV and Snowmobile Riders!

We are excited to announce that we have listened to our riders and our community and are now in the beginning stages of establishing a new trail extensions to our 906 City Trail system!

Working together with the Kewadin Casino Manistique this trail will further enhance recreational opportunities year round as this trail extension will finally allow direct and legal access to manistique from the east as well as enabling access to the Kewadin Casino and surrounding businesses!

We already have interest and participation from Kewadin Casino Manistique, Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Schoolcraft County, City of Manistique, Manistique Township! We would love to have even more support from businesses and individuals that are dedicated to making Schoolcraft County one of the top destinations in the Upper Peninsula year round!

This trail will pickup from where the trail currently ends on Tannery road. Working closely with Canadian National Railway Company we have also established a pathway to get over the tracks in a safe manner. It will then join up onto Krummich Road and go along the outskirts of the County Airport, following all FAA requirements. It will finally end at Kewadin Casino. While it doesn't connect directly to another trail system, this will open up access from Schoolcraft county all the way to both Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignance by using county roads to reach the other Upper Peninsula trail systems!

This will be a massive project that will benefit all recreation, tourism, and commerce opportunities through out Schoolcraft County!

Please follow SCMTA and Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce for all updates on this project as they become available. If you would like to help out, please reach out to us or come to one of our member meetings held the 3rd Thursday of every month at our 300 New Delta Ave Manistique.

We look forward to hearing from everyone on this monumental project! SCMTA will continue to make Schoolcraft County and our trails the Gold Standard!
