A morning at Sausage Tree revolves around a beautiful sunrise, being fully immersed in the dawn chorus, watching daytime animals slowly wake up, a hot coffee and homemade rusk stop, more animal watching and then a huge delicious breakfast back at the lodge.

It is that time of year when we close up camp and take our Sausage Tree team on a day and night away, and this year we have ventured into the magnificent Blyde River Canyon. Those who didn't suffer from vertigo rode down into the canyon floor in a glass elevator 51 m below, whilst the rest waved them au revoir and enjoyed the incredible views.
